Post Grad MBSR/MBCT;
The courses will be led by Rita O’Donovan who completed a four year Masters level training at Bangor University, North Wales where she successfully received per post grad degree with a further award in competence to teach Mindfulness based courses.
Prior to this, Rita worked for 20 years as a Senior Therapist initiating personal development programmes such as Yoga, Relaxation, Neuro Linguistic Programme (NLP) whilst also facilitating 8 week Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction Programmes (MBSR) in Arc House which is a professional organisation dedicated to supporting people newly diagnosed with cancer along with their families and friends. She was also involved in facilitating a (MBCT) Mindfulness Based Cognitive Therapy pilot run programme for people dealing with low mood and depression.
Rita’s interest in the healing arts led her to further exploration into energy medicine as an integrative approach towards health with the Institute of Inner Healing in the Philippines alongside her many years of travel to the far east.
Rita is currently engaged in giving lectures in organizations such as the Mater Hospital, Fingal Libraries and National Schools. She continually facilitates six and eight week courses throughout the year. Her private practice and one to one sessions are at Blanchardstown Counselling Services.
